ReplyDeleteI did kool-aid dyeing once but I used the microwave rather than a crockpot. It sucked up the color remarkably well and I didn't have trouble with it bleeding on things shockingly. I've also done yarn dyeing/hand-painting with Jaquard dyes. It's fun but SO MUCH WORK. It gives you a much greater appreciation for all those hand-painted sock yarns that cost $20-40/hank. You couldn't pay me enough! ;)
