Mommy and Me photoshoot with my sweet boy

A local photographer I follow on Facebook was promoting 20 minute Mommy and Me photo sessions the last weekend in April and I knew I needed to get some pictures of just me and Lachlan before the twins come. They also served as my maternity pictures, since I never did those before and thought it would just be a perfect time to do it.

I bought this dress on Amazon, which to my surprise made me feel pretty sexy! Pregnancy and sexy don't typically go together in the same sentence for me, but it's the only time in my life where I actually love my curves and am not trying to "suck in my stomach" because uhh, you can't, and it's socially acceptable to have a big ol belly sticking out. I also bought Lachlan a new pair of clean (and bigger) sneakers so we wouldn't look like our typical lazy schleps.

Anyway, the week before the photos Lachlan had come down with a horribly nasty cold with the worst runny nose I've ever seen in my entire life. Like there was a faucet in there just turned on and leaking so much snot that his face got chapped and I was worried the redness would show in the pics. But despite that, he did great! He posed and smiled and we did a kiss-y one, I was just really pleased with how easy it all went. I purposely went without Brian because Lachlan is always so extra whiny around his Dad and I knew if Bri came he'd be a grump in the pictures. Well, it was a good call because here's our pics!
