OwlCrate June 2016 Unboxing

I love OwlCrate! June's theme was 'royalty' and I was pretty excited to get this box. Throughout the month, they give away hints on Instagram at what will be included in the box.

Here's what I got:

The book this month was My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. This is a book I would no way have chosen myself, so I'm glad to break out of my comfort zone with this one.

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England.

I really love the little magnetic bookmark set by Craftedvan, exclusive for OwlCrate. I'm always losing my bookmarks so it's nice to have more. And there's a special coupon code for $10 off a bookmark from Mybookmark-shop.com. I plan on redeeming this for a pair of Alice or Dorothy legs.

I also received a Funko mystery mini, which turned out to be Elsa. I'm bummed with this one because I never actually watched Frozen. I am currently trying to trade her for either Ariel or Cinderella. Also included is a bracelet made by Rich Love Shoppe. I admit, I will most definitely not wear this, sorry!

And finally, there was a mini print by Evie Bookish from Red Queen. I haven't read that book yet, but I think I may add this to my TBR list.

Total value of box: Google sleuthing guesstimate - around $55 (not including the $10 off mybookmarkk-shop)

Total savings: $26

Overall, the quality of this box was exceptional. I just didn't actually prefer some of the things inside, which is totally personal. I wish so bad I could get next month's box, which is a Good vs. Evil theme and sounds really freakin cool. There will be two different boxes (with the same book) put together and subscribers will receive one or the other, but it's just not in my budget. Plus, I think I'd like to branch out and another book box eventually.
