Our town put on an Easter egg hunt last weekend for the kids. We walked down there with Lachlan in the wagon, though I totally wanted to hop in too ha! They broke up the field into 4 big areas for different age groups and put thousands of eggs out. I'm glad they split up the ages because the little guys got a chance to get eggs too without being knocked over by big kids. It literally was the fastest thing though. As soon as we heard GO! all the kids went into the field and within 20 seconds everything was picked up and gone! I think Lachlan got about 10 eggs, most of which were picked up by me and Brian otherwise he'd have only gotten like 2 or 3, but he did pick those few up by himself. Then we sat in the field and opened them up and ate candy.
The hardest part was getting Lachlan to wait the 10 minutes before the go whistle because we arrived early. There were wails and cries all around the entire age 2-3 field though because noone really wanted to wait either lol! I swear, one minute spent "waiting" with a toddler feels like 30 minutes.
