My March YarnBox

I am still so in love with YarnBox. This is my 2nd box and the yarn I received this month is another absolutely gorgeous pick.

The yarn is by Skeino, a German company, and is a 60% silk and 40% merino blend and is SO soft and has a light sheen to it. My colorway is Splendid Aqua.

So it makes me sad to admit that I am so disappointed in the crochet pattern this month. I'm not a fan of lacy projects, and the fingerless gloves are just that. I hate to even say it, but I think it's a pretty ugly pair of gloves too if I'm being totally honest. I'm sorry, I don't like saying things like that about another person's work, but I'm sad that I can't get to work on a crochet project until I find a project that I like, and that certainly is no easy task.

The knitting pattern is beautiful but as a complete newbie, I can't tackle this kind of project yet.

This time last month I was already done with the project but I haven't even started winding my yarn into a ball yet because I just don't know what to make now with this beautiful yarn.

So aside from the pattern, I am still happy with this box. The yarn this month is beautiful and comes in a bunch of other gorgeous colorways which you can see here.
