Free crochet pattern: Super quick and chunky wrist warmers

Whether you like to call them wrist warmers or fingerless gloves, these little mitts work up really quick with a bulky yarn!

Notes:
  • These instructions are using American terminology (click here for a conversion chart).
  • Each row is ended by joining with a slip stitch and chaining up 1.
  • I put my first SC in the same stitch I slip stitched in, then when I sl st to join at the end of the row, I sl st into this sc. It hides the seam better.
  • These wrist warmers will fit small hands. You can adjust the size by changing your hook size .
Stitches you need to know:
Chain, single crochet, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease, slip stitch.

Materials:
Lion's Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick in Charcoal
N/10mm hook
Red felt
White yarn
Darning needle
Pins
Scissors

Pattern:

Left wrist warmer
Ch 13, join with a sl st in first chain to form a ring being careful not to twist the chain.
Row 1-6: sc in each st around (13)
Row 7: sc in next stitch, 2sc in next st, sc in next 5 stitches, 2sc in next st, sc in next 5 stitches (15)
Row 8- 11: sc in each st around (15)
Row 12: sc in next 3 stitches, ch 2, skip 2, sc in next 10 stitches (15)
Row 13: sc in next 3 stitches, 2 sc over the ch 2 thumb hole, sc in next 10 stitches (15)
Row 14-15: sc in each st around (15)
Row 16: sc in next 2 stitches, scdec, sc in next 4 stitches, scdec, sc in next 5 stitches (13)
Finish off, weave in ends.

Right wrist warmer
Use the same pattern for the left wrist warmer up until you get to row 12. Then follow these instructions in order to keep the seam on the underside:
Row 12: sc in next 12 stitches, ch 2, skip 2, sc in next stitch (15)
Row 13: sc in next 12 stitches, 2 sc over the ch 2 thumbhole, sc in next stitch (15)
Row 14-15: sc in each st around (15)
Row 16: sc in next 2 stitches, scdec, sc in next 4 stitches, scdec, sc in next 5 stitches (13)
Finish off, weave in ends.

Attach your felt heart:
Cut out two felt hearts and pin into place on the top of each wrist warmer. I placed the top of my hearts right below the last row.
It helps to roll the bottom of the wrist warmer up so you can get your hand inside to sew on the heart easier.

Please let me know if you have any issues with my pattern. If you don't know how to make a certain stitch, I recommend checking out my video tutorial page or searching on YouTube.
