Crochet Mood Blanket - March's progress
I'm finally starting to join my squares because I have no where else to store them so I might as well start to consolidate!
I currently have 64 squares (only 44 more to go) and am joining them with a whip stitch in the back loops. I purposely kept a super long tail with the white when finishing off and I weaved it through to the corner so I can just pick up 2 squares and stitch them together without having to join on with new yarn.
I had a mini meltdown because I'm joining the long rows with a slip stitch so the two seams look different and I freaked. But I took some time to think about it and asked what people thought on Instagram and I decided I'm going to keep it the way it is.
Here's the squares I did in March. I'm not stressing about keeping up with one square a day. That's impossible! I'm starting to think about borders now. Do you have any favorite blanket borders?

This is going to look amazing! Can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteThose squares are gorgeous! I'm still trying to master the basic granny square, I can't imagine making one that complex. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat tip about leaving the long end to stitch them together with, i'll have to try and remember that myself.
ReplyDeleteYour squares are so amazing, I love the pattern you chose! The color scheme is fantastic too, this will be such a beautiful blanket at the end of the year!
